Sometimes even trivia becomes fodder for the gossip mills.

Rumours have been of late linking actor Shiney Ahuja with his female publicist Tanuja. Shiney, who is married and has a loving wife in the US, has unequivocally denied having any such affair.

Shiney’s wife Anu is an independent, working woman in New York. Since their relationship is a long distance one, Shiney becomes an easy target of speculation over having an affair with Tanuja.

In an interview, Shiney says while he is used to such gossip talk, Tanuja, who is also his senior, was very disturbed by such rumours.

Even Shiney’s wife was concerned.

Speaking about his wife, Shiney told a website: “She's the only woman in my life. Talk about link-ups has no effect on my marriage.”

Shiney said he and his wife often meet whenever their busy schedules permit them.

The actor is presently shooting for Sudhir Mishra's period film Khoya Khoya Chand in Goa. His co-star in the film is Soha Ali Khan.

SHINEY AND IRRFAN IN MIRA NAIR'S NEXT

Shiney Ahuja has replaced Saif Ali Khan in Mira Nair’s next. It actually is a short film dealing with the issue of AIDS. However, it was only after Saif’s refusal to do the film that Shiney got in. Irrfan Khan will be playing the lead protagonist in the film. Shiney is very excited about the project and says that this film will surely be very special for him.

Apart from this film, Shiney is also working on Sudhir Mishra’s Khoya Khoya Chand, Anurag Basu’s Metro and Priyadarshan’s Chandramukhi.
